Meeting Update /
The Basenji Club of Northern California General Meeting will follow the judging of Basenjis at approximately Noon on February 16, 2014 outside Ring 4 in the Exposition Hall. There should be chairs, but you might want to bring your own.

General Membership Meeting /
Attention all BCONC Members,
There will be a General Membership Meeting on Sunday February 16, 2014 at the Santa Clara Valley Kennel Club Show. The meeting will be held as close to Ringside as possible after the Basenji Judging has been completed. The Santa Clara Kennel Club Show is held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, located at 344 Tully Rd, San Jose, California 95111. Information regarding the exact time of the Basenji Judging and Building location will be provided when it is released by the Santa Clara Valley Kennel Club.

DNA test for PRA /
3/18/2013 - DNA test for PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) has been released. This direct test is for the recessive gene that is responsible for 50% of PRA in Basenjis. Go to www.basenji.org for details and test kits can be orders at www.offa.org.
It is Strongly Recommened by BCOA & BCONC that all Basenjis used for breeding are tested with the direct DNA PRA Test.
